Single-family house in Son Vida

Located in the exclusive Son Vida neighbourhood in Palma de Mallorca, EVOQUE, designed for developer Sophisticated Projects, transforms the challenge of a steeply sloped plot into a defining architectural feature. Access from the lowest point of the site shaped the entire concept. Entry through a two-level basement creates a striking arrival sequence while housing the parking area, wine cellar and gym, establishing a gradual transition between exterior and interior spaces.

The ground floor is organised in a T-shaped layout, where living room, dining area and kitchen flow seamlessly while maintaining their own identities, unified through the use of natural materials. The exterior responds to the terrain with a distinctive two-level swimming pool that adapts to the change in elevation. Living Ceramics porcelain flooring extends from the interior to the pool surroundings, while the pool interior is finished with Onix mosaic tiles. The rear garden is conceived as a private, serene retreat.

Local materials define the villa’s Mediterranean character. Santanyí dry stone walls are used both indoors and outdoors, complemented by technological wood slats and a SATE façade system for energy efficiency. Porcelain flooring by Living Ceramics features in common areas and bathrooms, while oak wood floors add warmth to the upper level. Construction took approximately 19 months and was carried out by Building More, with interior design by Marga Comas, landscaping by Cultivos Pima and kitchen design by Espacio Home Design with Modulnova.
